Our Vision

Enchanted Acorns nursery has been created by childminders who have realised that there is a need for childcare a little different to other nurseries. We understand the value of having a home from home setting where the children can feel relaxed, safe and at ease.

Not only do we have a beautiful, enticing setting which the children are excited to attend every day, we have fantastic SEN facilities with highly trained and experienced SEN staff.

We keep our values of being inclusive of all children. We offer healthy, plant based meals, exciting day trips and activities.

We love to nurture the curious minds of children and help them learn in a fun and exciting way.

The wellbeing of our children is paramount. We therefore have fortnightly sessions where we have one on one time with your child. We will play and learn about their hobbies and interests and keep up to date with likes and dislikes. It's important your child feels heard and listened to. This is a great opportunity for a mental health check. Is anything bothering them? Can we do anything differently to help them? Are they happy in themselves? This one on one time is so important for bonding and showing the children their good behaviour is rewarded with special time with their key worker.

Our Services

Experienced and Qualified SEN Staff

Our highly inclusive nursery has a dedicated team of SEN qualified staff to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

Home from home childcare

As childminders ourselves, we realise the importance of a home from home environment. It’s important that each child feels a sense of belonging and has a calming, safe space with adults they love and trust.

Flexible care

We understand that not all parents work 9-5 and we are lacking facilities in the area for flexible hours

Funding

Funded early education and childcare is expanding. By September 2025, most working families with children under the age of five will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare support.

The new entitlements are being introduced in phases:

  • Eligible working parents of two-year-olds can now access 15 hours funded early education and childcare (over 38 weeks a year) from the term after their child's second birthday.

  • From September 2024, eligible working parents of children from nine months up to three-year-olds can access 15 hours funded early education and childcare (over 38 weeks a year) from the term following their child turning nine months.

  • From September 2025, the offer will be rolled out in full, with eligible working parents of children aged nine months and above able to access 30 hours funded early education and childcare (over 38 weeks a year) from the term following their child turning nine months.

The new entitlements do not replace FEET funding for eligible two-year-olds or Universal (15 hours) funding for all three and four-year-olds.
